There's so much to do here at Ramapo Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp wabenaki is a great site for that. the Kakiat Trail is magnificent fun. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Ramapo River, and do take a hike on the Cannonball Trail.
The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Mt. Peter; Ramapo Lake
Dam is an interesting thing to check out. Summer at Ramapo Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's; the overnight is a little cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are frequently in the
30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Ramapo Lake. Green Swamp Brook flows through this area, and for you golfers we recommend close by Sunset Valley Golf Course.
Any time is a good time at Ramapo Lake if you go
for the outdoors. Hit the slopes at Sterling Forest close by; a wonderful lake like Clots Lake is a good site to explore. Ramapo Lake gets a lot of water; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here while February is typically the driest month.
