The beauty of Potake Pond attracts many people from all around. Near Potake Pond you hit upon the Cannonball Trail which is a great hiking trail; since you're here you can play some golf at Apple Ridge Country Club. There are wonderful sites to look at along the Pine Meadow Trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Sterling Forest is reasonably near. This lake is so wonderful. And that's not all you can do here at Potake Pond. Potake Pond is a glorious place to camp, Robert Moses is a glorious place, and hey, Summit Brook is a wonderful local stream. Potake Pond regularly gets much precipitation; most of the rain falls during November, and the driest of the months is February. Not far from Potake Pond you locate North Cape, and get drenched paddling on Pequannock River.

wonderful. Sheraton Crossroads is a fine place to get some rest, and Mt. Peter is a good local ski area. Through the months of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Potake Pond while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. The
winter brings highs down to the 30's while Potake Pond overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. A wonderful spot like The Bowl here at Potake Pond is too pleasant to miss, and if you want to hit the beach,
Old Sebago Beach is close at hand.
Here at Potake Pond you'll probably meet some people from New York-Newark-Edison, of course you could also go to Adler Pool if you're here; it's not far at all. Swamps like Bear Swamp are fun
to visit; Bald Mountain is beautiful and can be distinguished from here. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the area near Potake Pond has to offer. Going for a hike on the Kakiat Trail is always a great adventure;
whitewater paddling is pleasant on Ramapo River.
This lake is so wonderful. Camp wabenaki is a glorious campground here.
