Pines Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. What would winter be without some skiing at Mt. Peter; in the vicinity of Pines Lake you stumble on a golf course called Sunset Valley Golf Course. Pines Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club is a tremendous local campground, and not far from Pines Lake you'll locate Alexanders Pond which is a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful.

| | Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Rockaway River, and going for a hike on the Kakiat Trail is always a wonderful adventure. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Pines Lake. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There are great sites to discover along the Pine Meadow Trail, and Pines Lake Dam is a gorgeous spot. Man, is there a lot of exciting
things to do right next door to Pines Lake. The panoramas at Gateway National Recreation Area will blow your mind. There's so much to do here at Pines Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Motor Sports Marina and Campground
is a good site for that; close by you stumble on the Cannonball Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. If you need a location to stay Regency House Hotel & Suites is a magnificent choice, and Packanack Mountain is painless to spot
from Pines Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Regency House Hotel & Suites; hey, Gotta ski right? Sterling Forest is a perfect spot to do that. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Acid Brook
flows through this vicinity; if you come at the right time of year, Pequannock River offers some perfect whitewater.
