You can run the rapids of Rockaway River right next door to Pinecrest Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Mt. Peter; Mineral Resorts And Spa is a great place to get some rest. Through the days of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Pinecrest Lake, and the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course, usually in the 50's. High temperatures       during the winter are normally in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Pinecrest Lake. Nearby Clinton Brook Valley is a delightful spot to go if you're at Pinecrest Lake, and why not camp at Motor Sports Marina and Campground since you're here at Pinecrest Lake. All the outdoors entertaining things close to Pinecrest Lake will keep you coming back many times. There's whitewater on Pequannock River for all you adrenaline junkies, and on a wonderful day                  you can take a hike along the Cannonball Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Bubbling Spring Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore, and there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the Kakiat Trail. You can take a little spree to Pinecrest Dam while you're here at Pinecrest Lake; Gateway National Recreation Area is a very brilliant location to stop at. Hidden Valley is a great local ski area, and nearby you come across the Pine Meadow Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. A magnificent close by hotel is Regency House Hotel & Suites, and if you came for an overnight stay Sun Air Lakeside Camp is a good location to camp.
