Don't leave Pine Lake without first going for a hike along the Sherwood Path, and a great spot to camp here at Pine Lake is Kaufmann Henry Campgrounds. A day on the slopes of Sterling Forest is just what you need; why not a little side spree to Cherry Brook. There       are other places here than Pine Lake, for example Silver Lake, and do pay a visit to Gateway National Recreation Area since you're here at Pine Lake. People from New York-Newark-Edison love to come to Pine Lake; Lake Tappan Dam is not far at all from Pine Lake. Through the long summer days, highs regularly are in the 80's at Pine Lake, and the nighttime is quite chillier of course, usually in the 60's.
