Get yourself into a kayak and hit Rockaway River, and at Pettet Pond you can spot Bearfort Mountain. Mountain Creek- Appalachian is a tremendous place to get some rest; the slopes of Hidden Valley are so inviting noone can resist. There's so much to do here at Pettet Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Ocawasin       Lodge is a good spot for that, and close by you find Clinton Brook Valley which is a wonderful site to pop by. This location is so good, just check out all the cool stuff to do near Pettet Pond. There's some interesting stuff to see at Pinecrest Dam next to Pettet Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Kakiat Trail, and Pettet Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Motor Sports Marina and Campground is a good local campground. So                  much entertaining stuff to do at Pettet Pond, so little time. Lakes are such serene places, why not take a look at Pinecrest Lake in the vicinity of Pettet Pond, and hey, Gotta ski right? Mt. Peter is a glorious site to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Pequannock River in a kayak, and you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Pine Meadow Trail. Gateway National Recreation Area is a very perfect site to pop by in the vicinity of Pettet Pond, and Pettet Pond is right by the Cannonball Trail. High temperatures at Pettet Pond during the summertime are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while Pettet Pond overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's.
