High temperatures all through       the winter are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Perona Lake are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Perona Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Columbia Valley Campground is a brilliant location for that, and after a long day outdoors Residence Inn by Marriott Mount Olive at the International Trade Center is a fine place to spend a night or two. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Newton Sparta is a                  perfect location to get some rest, and what would winter be without some skiing at Mountain Creek. Man, is there lots of exciting things to do in the neighborhood of Perona Lake. India Brook is a good whitewater spot next to Perona Lake, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Hidden Valley since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Visiting Delaware National Scenic River is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Emilio Perona Dam, and do pop by Straders Pond, it's a picturesque lake.
