A journey to Delaware National Scenic River is recommended; camping is available at Columbia Valley Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Paulins Kill River. A lot of rainfall falls at Perona Lake; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is typically the driest month. Summertime highs       at Perona Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Perona Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Mountain Creek is good; you're probably keen on lakes, Straders Pond is one of those close by. Get soaked paddling on India Brook, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Newton Sparta is a good choice. But wait,                  there's more to do in close proximity to Perona Lake. Everybody close by loves skiing at Hidden Valley; playing golf is lots of fun at Lake Lackawanna Golf Course.
