Penners Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Stay the night at Camp wabenaki; if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Hilton Woodcliff Lake is a pleasant location to get some rest, and do take a look at Anona Lake, it's a scenic lake.
If you need a place to stay Courtyard Montvale is a perfect choice, and going for a hike along the Conklins Crossing

| | will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Kaufmann Henry Campgrounds is a magnificent campground here, and skiing at Sterling Forest is one of those things you just should do. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Penners Lake, too nice to be true. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Apple Ridge Country Club is in the vicinity, and drift down the rapids of Ramapo River in a kayak.

and if you come at the right time of year, Popolopen Creek offers some great whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Lots of people from New York-Newark-Edison come to Penners Lake, and hiking along the Sherwood Path is brilliant fun.
Through the summertime months at Penners Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 60's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while Penners Lake overnight low temperatures during
the winter are in the 10's.
Penners Lake is a wet place that gets a lot of precipitation; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest of the months is February.
