This lake is so wonderful. Really wonderful skiing awaits you at Mountain Creek; Homewood Suites by Hilton Dover Rockaway is a perfect spot to get some rest. At Openaka Lake throughout the summer highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the       10's for Openaka Lake. So much entertaining stuff to do at Openaka Lake, so little time. A brilliant place for whitewater paddling next to Openaka Lake is Rockaway River, and Openaka Lake Dam is not far at all from Openaka Lake. Not far from Openaka Lake, you'll come across Laurel Lake which is a pretty lake; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Den Brook. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Openaka Lake, for example Shongum                  Lake, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Peace Pipe Country Club. Openaka Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Sun Air Lakeside Camp is a great site to camp nearby, and if you need a place to stay Hilton Garden Inn Rockaway is a magnificent choice. Get your pulse rate up on the fine whitewater of India Brook, and Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club is a perfect local campground.
