Having a ''canoe launch'' is usually indicative of a nice place to paddle - this place was just plain nasty. The tree debris in the water was unbelievable and blocked off any viable path. Don't waste your time trying to portage over them either...once you scramble over & under all the debris, going left is blocked by a huge beaver dam and the other way becomes too shallow and is so packed by tree and encroaching shoreline you can't get through. What a disappointment...I thought we found a nice little lake close to home for a nice after work paddle... Throughout the summertime       months here at New Brooklyn Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at New Brooklyn Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.
