Mountain Lake is a pretty wet place commonly with lots of rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Stay the night at Sun Air Lakeside Camp, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at Mountain Creek. Not far from Mountain Lake, you'll hit upon Crystal Lake which is a lovely lake, and close by you find Rockaway Valley which is a       great site to check out. Courtyard By Marriott Parsippany is a great spot to get some rest, and good water scenery is available at Mountain Lake Dam in the neighborhood of Mountain Lake. While you're here at Mountain Lake you can take a hike along the Cannonball Trail, and after a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Parsippany is a fine site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Hidden Valley is one of those things                  you just ought to do, and you can run the rapids of Rockaway River. So much fun stuff to do at Mountain Lake, so little time. Mountain Lake is a wonderful site to visit for more than one day, Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club is a wonderful site to camp nearby, and Pequannock River is a wonderful whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Near Mountain Lake you hit upon a golf course called Rockaway River Country Club. Lakes are delightful; Sunset Lake is a lake that's next to Mountain Lake. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Mountain Lake. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's.
