Family had a cabin near the lake from the mid-1950s to mid-1980s. There's no place like Tabor Lake. Hi Scott. Says P.D. Wheaton

My aunt and uncle, Ray and Lolly Dimmick lived in Mt. Tabor on Strowbridge
Ave. During the fifties and early sixties. My parents and I lived with them in 1954-55. That period of time was one of the happiest of my life. During the summer we walked over the railroad tracks to get to Tabor Lake. It was a great
place to have fun, and I treasure the happy memories of swimming with my cousin John there. I had the opportunity to take the Mt Tabor House Tour in '08 and was able to go through my aunt and uncle's house. It was a real thrill to be able to walk through those rooms once again. Mount Tabor is truly special and there is no other place like it! Says Beth Dillon Mader

Most of my family lived in Mt. Tabor from the late 1950s until the 1980s...My grandparents

Bill & Lillian Hipple and Uncle Ken lived on Fletcher Place [and Morris and then Wesley], my Uncle Bill & Aunt Ruth Tonking on Whitfield, for a short time my Uncle Don & Aunt Carol Hipple on the corner of Morris & Fletcher...we loved
visiting from North Carolina, especially at Christmas time when the sledding was fast and fun behind the garage. When we moved to NJ, we looked forward to Children's Day every August. Such a quaint village with great people living there. Says Bill Hipple

Me and Billy Tonking used to swing off the tire swing by the tracks (on that big old tree) and drop into the Lake. Loved it ! Gosh that was 40 or so years ago... where are you Billy ? sniff sniff Says
Ann Olsen Fisher

Grew up in Mt.Tabor and spent every summer at Tabor Lake. Walked through the woods off of Rt 53 and back to get to the lake. Loved it!! Says Nancy

My grandmother Florence owned the last cabin at the top of the hill. I spent every summer at the lake and can honestly say they were the best times I ever had. Would love to have a cabin there now. Says Lizzy Attara
