Camping is available at Sun Air Lakeside Camp, and whitewater paddling is nice on Rockaway River. This lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop by Mount Hope Pond Dam, and if you need a place to stay Best Western The Inn At Rockaway is a nice choice. This lake is so wonderful. India Brook has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and after a long day outdoors       Hilton Garden Inn Rockaway is a good place to spend a night or two. So many amusing things to do here at Mount Hope Pond, too good to be true. If you're a golfer then a wonderful nearby course is Picatinny Golf Club, and lakes are such calm spots, why not pop by Lake Denmark. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Mountain Creek is close to Mount Hope Pond; if you came for an overnight stay Camp Nyoda is a good place to camp. Mount Hope Pond sees pretty high                  levels of rain; during August this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Hidden Valley is a great local ski area; there are other spots here than Mount Hope Pond, for example Mount Hope Lake. At Mount Hope Pond all through the days of summer highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 50's.
