All through the summer at Moosepac Pond temperatures are regularly in the 80's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's; night lows during the winter for Moosepac Pond tend to be in the 10's. What a spot this is for outdoors people. A great close by hotel is Best Western The Inn At Rockaway, and a good site to camp here at Moosepac       Pond is Camp Nyoda. Hampton Inn Rockaway-I 80 (Parsippany Area) is a splendid spot to get some rest, and camping at Sun Air Lakeside Camp is always a good experience. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Hidden Valley, and you'll hit upon a charming lake called Cozy Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Rockaway River offers some good whitewater, and do go to Oak Ridge Reservoir,                  it's a scenic lake. Cozy Lake Dam is a location that is near Moosepac Pond, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Pequannock River. Really great skiing awaits you at Mountain Creek, and Bowling Green Golf Club is a fine golf course close by.
