Since you're here at Montague Lake why not take a look at Delaware River Gorge, and camping is available at Shippekonk Campground. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. If you come at the right time of year, Delaware River offers some pleasant whitewater, and Montague Lake is right by the Peenpack Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Hotel Fauchere; you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the       Bald Hill Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Montague Lake a wet place; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most while February is mostly the driest month. Some of the water nearby flows, like Clove Brook, and hiking along the Lost Cabin Trail is wonderful fun. Do pay a visit to Delaware National Scenic River while you're here at Montague Lake, and Steeny Kill Dam is a lovely place. This lake                  is so wonderful. Best Western Inn At Hunt's Landing is a good spot to get some rest; why not stop by Carpenters Point also since you're here. For the duration of the summertime months highs here at Montague Lake get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Montague Lake drop into the 10's. If you adore the outdoors, you'll fancy Montague Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clove Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are magnificent; Reservoir Number One is a lake that's in the vicinity of Montague Lake, and hey, Gotta ski right? Holiday Mountain is a great location to do that.
