Paddling on Pequannock River is so much fun. Camping is available at Sun Air Lakeside Camp, and you'll hit upon a lovely lake called Cozy Lake. For the period of the warm months, highs typically are in the 80's at Mitt Pond while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's while Mitt Pond nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's.       This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Hidden Valley is nice; whitewater paddling is tremendous on Rockaway River. The high level of rain makes Mitt Pond a reasonably wet site; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. There's some exciting stuff to make out at Cozy Lake Dam in close proximity to Mitt Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Four Seasons Motel & Cottages. If you need a place to stay Best Western                  The Inn At Rockaway is a great choice, and if you came for an overnight stay Beaver Hill Campground is a nice spot to camp. Just can't get enough of Mitt Pond. On a wonderful day you acquire a vista of Mount Paul from Mitt Pond, and Russia Brook is near Mitt Pond and is always a bliss to visit.
