Farrington Lake
Camp Farrington was the best.  I was there in the 60's but don't remember exact years.  I went one or two summers as a camper and then one summer when I was a little older as a waiter.  My father Herbert Lederer was brother to Terry Greenwald.  Terry and Howard Greenwald were two of the owners of the camp.  One of my favorite memories was sneaking out of the bunk house after hours and pretending to be councillors as we made our way over to the girls bunk house.  I so remeber the ''lily pond'' and monkey bridge and how much fun they were....Yes - Truly the best. I was there for 5 or 6 summers from approx 1964 to 1969. I remember watching Neil Armstrong walk on the moon among many highlights......

Middlesex Reservoir
I want to go fishing....

Lake Lefferts
I live on this lake, I'm 14 and every summer I have the most wonderful time on floating docks with my friends and waking up and kayaking with my little sister....I remember swiming here when I was young. A big different from the creek under the parkway bridge....I remember back in the 50's I would go past the lake and see kid's swing from a tree on a rope, and then let go and dive in the water. I was so jealous, but I had Cliffwood....

Mount Kemble Lake

Great place to fish if you can get in, it's a private lake with big bass....

Bee Meadow Pond
18 miles away
Beautiful scenery. A trail surrounding the second and 3rd ponds makes for a nice walk although a little overgrown in places. Fishing has been slow to recover from the fishkill in 2001 when fertilizer chemicals built up on the deep bottom mixed with the pondwater creating toxic conditions for the fish. It is slowly improving with the bass and pickerel that have survived are replenishing the fish population. I've caught some 4 to 6 pound bass in recent years so they must have been around before and survived the fishkill which is good news. The Pond is stocked with trout annually, but I can't see them lasting longer than a couple of weeks due to the warm and stagnant waters. Spring and early summer are the best times to go before the fertilizer rich waters of pond foster abundant algae and lillypad growth. The second and third ponds are the best for bass, while catfish can be caught anywhere and thrive in the stagnant waters. I would recommend shiners for bass if you can find them anywhere, but lures work fine....

Sunrise Lake

Moving here 5 years ago, this is one of the most beautiful areas around, but is maintained very poorly. The surrounding areas are kept quite well, but it doesn't seem like cleaning the lake our yearly or bi-yearly is a priority.I would like to swim in this lake with my family, but do not feel it is of swimming calibur, and when ever we go there it is usually closed. Maybe you all could see the benefit to this park and invest a little in cleaning the water and the beach area, as there is way too much seaweed in the beach area. Thx for understanding....
