Palmer Lake
This is a great spot, hiking around it is worth it, fish aren't too much to sneeze at - LOTS of geese have fouled the water most of the year - like most lakes around. ...I'm going to find out about the fishing... any help?...
Gropp Lake
1 PHOTO We do pretty well at this little lake. Caught a 2 pound largemouth and heard there are bigger. Give it a try.... Write about the fishing. Very nice place to fish with a variety of freshwater fish. There are fishing docks availible plus an easy to luanch boat ramp....
Carnegie Lake
There's a lot of bacteria in it from goose droppings....Can I swim at Carnegie?...Can I swim at Carnegie?...
Brainerd Lake
Would like to know about fishing at the lake and what fish are there....
Prospertown Lake
14 miles away Prospertown lake has great pikerel and bass fishing....Prosper Town lake is the greatest. It is located near 6 flags. My brother caught a 15 inch largemouth bass and a 13 inch smallmouth bass before there. And I've caught a lot of pickerel. We used shiners,,, about 3-4 inches big....
Farrington Lake
16 miles away Camp Farrington was the best. I was there in the 60's but don't remember exact years. I went one or two summers as a camper and then one summer when I was a little older as a waiter. My father Herbert Lederer was brother to Terry Greenwald. Terry and Howard Greenwald were two of the owners of the camp. One of my favorite memories was sneaking out of the bunk house after hours and pretending to be councillors as we made our way over to the girls bunk house. I so remeber the ''lily pond'' and monkey bridge and how much fun they were....Yes - Truly the best. I was there for 5 or 6 summers from approx 1964 to 1969. I remember watching Neil Armstrong walk on the moon among many highlights......
Mirror Lake
16 miles away Yes, There is a small beach on Mirror Lake. I got there every once in a while since I actually live near there. But I wouldn't recommend fishing there. There is so much pollution in the area where fish breed. The only fish you would likely see is dead fish. Also, it is fun to go out on a small boat like a conoe and look around the lake. There is a small island where if you are lucky, some of the mother geese would allow you to feed them and their young....Can dogs go swimming in mirror lake?...CAN WE SWIM IN MIRROR LAKE? Is is shallow?...
