It's always fun to stop by Melody Lake. The Kakiat Trail is a tremendous hiking trail next to Melody Lake. Lakes? Sure, Bubbling Spring Lake is close at hand. Melody Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Melody Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sun Air Lakeside Camp is a wonderful spot for that;

| | there are some great whitewater spots on Rockaway River. What would winter be without some skiing at Hidden Valley, and do pay a visit to Gateway National Recreation Area while you're here at Melody Lake. Throughout the warm days of summer highs here at Melody Lake get into the 80's with night lows in the 50's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 30's; overnight lows through the wintertime for Melody Lake tend to be in the 10's. If you need a place | |

to stay Roserne Motor Lodge is a delightful choice, and close by you discover the Pine Meadow Trail which is a good hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Motor Sports Marina and Campground, and there's some
flowing water close by, Morsetown Brook is a stream you can check out while you're here. On a nice day at Melody Lake you can take a hike along the Cannonball Trail, and the slopes of Mt. Peter are so inviting nobody can resist. You
get a good panorama of Bearfort Mountain from Melody Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Pequannock River offers some nice whitewater. Man, is there loads of exciting things to do in the neighborhood of Melody Lake.
Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Dry warm beds await you at Stumble Inn; an out of the ordinary thing to take a look at close to Melody Lake is West Milford Lake Dam.
