This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Mt. Peter is one of those things you just must do, and a trip to Gateway National Recreation Area is recommended. A perfect place to camp here at Melody Lake is Motor Sports Marina and Campground, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Pine Meadow Trail. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area in the vicinity of Melody Lake has to offer.       Really brilliant skiing awaits you at Hidden Valley. Dry warm beds await you at Mountain Creek- Black Creek Sanctuary, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pequannock River. Melody Lake generally gets much rainfall; the wettest month of the year is frequently July, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
