There's just no way anyone can get bored here at McDonalds Ponds. You'll need more than a day to discover everything McDonalds Ponds has to offer, you can camp at Motor Sports Marina and Campground; if you need a place to stay Regency House Hotel is a fine choice.

Pompton Plains is right here at McDonalds Ponds, and you can hit the slopes at Mt. Peter close at hand. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Sterling Forest; at McDonalds Ponds you can observe Packanack Mountain.

a hike along the Pine Meadow Trail, and since you're here, you could explore Pequannock River. Any time is a great time at McDonalds Ponds if you adore the outdoors. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then
we recommend Pequannock River, and you can go for a hike on the Kakiat Trail. Summer at McDonalds Ponds arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Daytime highs during
the winter are in the 30's while McDonalds Ponds nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's.
A brilliant nearby hotel is Regency House Hotel & Suites, and Gateway National Recreation Area is a very good
spot to check out. This lake is so wonderful. McDonalds Ponds is in close proximity to Pompton Dam which is a charming place positively worth taking a look at, and there are pleasant locations to look at along the Cannonball Trail.
