McDonalds Ponds is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area in the vicinity of McDonalds Ponds has to offer. Hiking along the Pine Meadow Trail is great fun, and if you have time to spare, Gateway National Recreation Area is a national park worth stopping at. Camping is available at Rein Teen Tours. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Sunset Valley Golf Course; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Mt. Peter. A splendid site for whitewater paddling close to McDonalds Ponds is Pequannock River, and while you're here, you could also go to wonderful Valley Lake. to spend a night or two; an attention-grabbing thing to check out in close proximity to McDonalds Ponds is Pompton Dam.
All the water falling down from the sky makes McDonalds Ponds a wet spot; the month with most of the rain
is August, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. You'll come across a striking lake called Pompton Lake near McDonalds Ponds, and swing by Pequannock River it's a splendid place to have a look at. The peak
of Packanack Mountain can be seen from McDonalds Ponds; if you came for an overnight stay Camp Ocawasin Lodge is a splendid spot to camp.
Why not take a refreshing hike along the Cannonball Trail, and you can hit the slopes at
Sterling Forest close at hand. All through the days of summer at McDonalds Ponds temperatures are typically in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are ordinarily in the 30's
with temperatures at McDonalds Ponds dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Take a hike on the Kakiat Trail, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rockaway River.
