Throughout the summer at Maple Lake highs are generally in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Maple Lake dip into the 10's. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do in close       proximity to Maple Lake. Lots of folks from New York-Newark-Edison come to Maple Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express RAMSEY-MAHWAH; why not stop by Maple Lake Dam since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Baker Camp On Lake Sebago is a good place to camp, and a lake close by is Rambaut Lake. There is a tremendous hiking trail in the neighborhood of Maple Lake called the Cannonball Trail, and Pequannock                  River is a good whitewater spot close by. Rein Teen Tours is a glorious local campground; you can run the rapids of Ramapo River. This lake is so wonderful. Near Maple Lake you locate the Kakiat Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail, and the skiing at Mt. Peter is great. Residence Inn Saddle River is a great place to get some rest, and why not a little side tour to Deep Brook. Maple Lake is a quite wet place generally with a great deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls during May; February on the other hand is the driest. If only every place had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great globe it would be.
