Going for a hike on the Pine Meadow Trail is always a magnificent adventure, naturally you could also stop at Ziegler Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. Throughout the summer at Maple Lake highs are generally in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Maple Lake dip into the 10's. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do in close

River is a good whitewater spot close by. Rein Teen Tours is a glorious local campground; you can run the rapids of Ramapo River. This lake is so wonderful. Near Maple Lake you locate the Kakiat Trail which is a brilliant hiking
trail, and the skiing at Mt. Peter is great. Residence Inn Saddle River is a great place to get some rest, and why not a little side tour to Deep Brook. Maple Lake is a quite wet place generally with a great deal of rainfall; most
of the rain falls during May; February on the other hand is the driest. If only every place had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great globe it would be. A day on the slopes of Sterling Forest is just what you need, and an afternoon playing golf at Apple Ridge Country Club is always a diversion.
