In New Jersey there are many beautiful lakes, MacMillan Reservoir is one of them. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. You should certainly dedicate some time to The Bowl if you're here at MacMillan Reservoir, and you're possibly hooked on lakes, Bear Swamp Lake is one of those close by. Throughout the warm days of summer here at MacMillan Reservoir, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs all through the winter are typically
in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for MacMillan Reservoir. Going for a hike on the Pine Meadow Trail is always a fine adventure, and at MacMillan Reservoir you can observe Bald Mountain. The high level of precipitation makes
MacMillan Reservoir a relatively wet place; November is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February.
This lake is so wonderful. Near MacMillan Reservoir you discover the Kakiat Trail which is
a magnificent hiking trail; why not have a look at MacMillan Reservoir Dam while you're here. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more fun stuff to do here at MacMillan Reservoir. In case you don’t have a problem getting
soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pequannock River, and why not camp at Robert Moses while you're here at MacMillan Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Camp wabenaki, and there are swamps here
too, Bear Swamp is in close proximity.
The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Mt. Peter, and a fine nearby hotel is Courtyard By Marriott Mahwah.
