Do stop by Crandon Lakes near Lower Crandon Lake, it's a charming lake, and a tremendous site for whitewater paddling is Hornbeck's Creek. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Lost Cabin Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Newton. High temperatures at Lower Crandon Lake through the long summer days are in the       80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Lower Crandon Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Willow Crest Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. There's so much to do here at Lower Crandon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Windy Acres Campground is a great location for that. This lake is so wonderful. The Bald Barren Trail offers hiking                  at its best, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Raymondskill Creek. So many enjoyable things in the vicinity of Lower Crandon Lake, absolutely fantastic. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lower Crandon Lake; Flat Ridge Trail is a splendid local trail; if you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Newton Sparta is a splendid choice. Lower Crandon Lake gets a lot of water; during May this area sees the most rain while February is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
