The beauty of Locust Lake is reason enough to stop by. A great close by hotel is Columbia-Days Inn; Delaware River Family Campground is a good campground nearby. Why not stop at nearby Brookaloo Swamp if you're here at Locust Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Pequest River. Good hiking is available along the Bald Barren Trail, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Alpine Mountain.

| | An out of the ordinary thing to pop by in close proximity to Locust Lake is Locust Lake Dam; get your pulse rate up on the perfect whitewater of Bush Kill Creek. Locust Lake is not the only site nearby, Agros Lake is a nearby lake. Locust Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is regularly May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. to do around Locust Lake; Flat Ridge Trail is a tremendous local trail, and Delaware National Scenic River is a very glorious place to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Value Inn East Stroudsburg
is a fine place to spend a night or two, and good skiing awaits you at Shawnee Mountain. Summer at Locust Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Locust Lake.
