A good close by hotel is Hampton Inn Rockaway-I 80 (Parsippany Area); some of the water nearby flows, like Timber Brook. Get soaked paddling on Pequannock River. There's so much to do here at Little Mitten Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Nyoda is a splendid spot for that. You're perhaps hooked on lakes, Splitrock Reservoir is one of those close by; Little Mitten Lake is good enough to spend more than       a day at, Sun Air Lakeside Camp is a good local campground. This site is so good, just check out all the cool stuff to do near Little Mitten Lake. The slopes of Mountain Creek are so inviting noone can resist; a journey to Gateway National Recreation Area is worthwhile.
