Gateway National Recreation Area is one of the destinations near Lindy Lake that are pleasant to go to; Lindy Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Ocawasin Lodge is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the brilliant whitewater of Pequannock River,       and a magnificent nearby hotel is La Quinta Inn and Suites Wayne. Having a wonderful time at Lindy Lake is painless. The Pine Meadow Trail offers hiking at its best. Lakes are glorious; Mount Glen Lakes is a lake that's near Lindy Lake. At Lindy Lake all through the months of summer highs are in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and nighttime                  lows throughout the winter for Lindy Lake tend to be in the 10's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lindy Lake a wet location; most of the rain falls during July, and February is when it's the driest. Everybody close by loves skiing at Mt. Peter, and there's splendid hiking along the Kakiat Trail.
