Peter. For the period of the warm days of summer at Leeper Pond highs are usually in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Leeper Pond. Man, is there plenty of exciting things to do near Leeper Pond. After a long day outdoors Mountain Creek- Black Creek Sanctuary is a brilliant place to spend       a night or two, and close by you discover the Cannonball Trail which is a nice hiking trail. Leeper Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; through May this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. If you come at the right time of year, Pequannock River offers some fine whitewater; dry warm beds await you at Mountain Creek- Appalachian. This lake is so wonderful. Woodruff Gap                  is in the neighborhood of Leeper Pond and is unquestionably a tremendous site to explore, and you don't must go far to enjoy Rough Mountain State Forest. An interesting thing to go to close to Leeper Pond is Lookover Lake Dam, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Lookover Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Spa Executive Nine Golf Course is in the neighborhood, and if you came to camp Camp Ocawasin Lodge is a delightful place to do that. Bearfort Mountain is a peak you can observe from Leeper Pond, and you can go for a hike on the Pine Meadow Trail. The panoramas at Gateway National Recreation Area will blow your mind; some of the water close by flows, like Sawmill Pond Brook. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Leeper Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Motor Sports Marina and Campground is a nice location for that, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Rockaway River. Lakes?
