This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a great little tour to Fox Brook, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Pine Meadow Trail. A great close by hotel is Wellesley Inn Wayne; lovely scenery and good skiing is what you acquire at Mt. Peter. This lake is so wonderful. | |

So many exciting things next to Lake Tamarack, absolutely tremendous. There's so much to do here at Lake Tamarack that you
need to camp here for a while, Camp wabenaki is a pleasant location for that, and going for a hike along the Kakiat Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. If you need a spot to stay Residence Inn by Marriott
Wayne is a brilliant choice, and hiking along the Cannonball Trail is pleasant fun. Lake Tamarack sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the rain falls throughout May; the driest of the months is February.
Not far from Lake
Tamarack, you'll find Caille Lake which is a delightful lake, and Ramapo River has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by. For the period of the days of summer highs here at Lake Tamarack reach the 80's. During the dark hours of
summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's, and overnight lows at Lake Tamarack through the winter usually dip into the 10's.
