Lake Takanassee is a relatively wet place frequently with much rainfall; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. Lake Takanassee is not the only location close by, Deal Lake is a close by lake, and camping is available at Atlantic Club Camp. All through the warmest time of the year at Lake Takanassee highs are regularly in the 80's.       Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. For the period of the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's with temperatures at Lake Takanassee dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. You're sure to encounter some great folks from New York-Newark-Edison here, and Gateway National Recreation Area is a very nice location to check out. For you golfers we recommend nearby Deal Golf & Country Club, and if you need a site to                  stay La Quinta Inn West Long Branch is a tremendous choice. This lake is so wonderful.
