A lake close by is Quick Pond, and Hidden Acres Golf Course is a great golf course close by. The high level of rainfall makes Lake Shawanni a relatively wet site; May is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. Going for a hike on the Flat Ridge Trail is always a great adventure; get yourself into a kayak and hit Raymondskill Creek. Any       time is a great time at Lake Shawanni if you have a thing about the outdoors. Lake Shawanni is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Harmony Ridge Campgrounds is a wonderful local campground; glide down the rapids of Hornbeck's Creek in a kayak. Mecca Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore, and a great close by hotel is Scottish Inns Milford. For the period of the days of summer at Lake Shawanni highs are generally in the 70's, and through summer                  nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are commonly in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lake Shawanni. This lake is so wonderful. Stokes State Forest is worth a visit, and hey, Big Flat Brook is a magnificent local stream. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Lake Shawanni. After a long day outdoors RPAMI - Red Carpet Inn Milford is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and close by you discover the Lost Cabin Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Go for a hike on the Bald Hill Trail, and don't miss out on a visit to Delaware National Scenic River while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Really perfect skiing awaits you at Shawnee Mountain, and at Quick Pond Dam close to Lake Shawanni there are some attention-grabbing things to see. Tillman Falls is an inspiring location to go to while here.
