Through the warmest time of the year, highs typically are in the 80's at Lake Nelson. All through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. During the winter the highs are regularly in the 30's, and night lows at Lake Nelson during the winter mostly descend into the 10's. You can run the       rapids of Raritan River - North Branch near Lake Nelson, and if you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Trenton-Ewing. If you're a golfer then a fine close by course is Metuchen Golf & Country Club; Johnsons Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out. Lake Nelson gets a large amount of water; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to                  stay Holiday Inn SOUTH PLAINFIELD-PISCATAWAY is a nice choice, and a lake nearby is New Market Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Lake Nelson that you need to camp here for a while, Bryn Mawr Camp is a tremendous site for that, and there's always Lake Nelson Dam to have a look at near Lake Nelson. Now, you may believe that's heaps but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Lake Nelson.
