Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Upper Lake Mohawk, and skiing at Hidden Valley is one of those things you just must do. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Lake Mohawk. A glorious spot to pop by close to Lake Mohawk is Sparta Glen, and a wonderful nearby hotel is Holiday       Inn Express Hotel & Suites Newton Sparta. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Mohawk a wet location; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most while February is ordinarily the driest month. Be careful coming to Lake Mohawk, you might not ever wanna go home again. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Lake Mohawk, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are typically in the 30's, and overnight lows during the winter for Lake Mohawk tend to be in the 10's. Paulins Kill River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and you can see Sparta Mountains from Lake Mohawk. This lake is so wonderful.
