Lakes are good; Star Lake is a lake that's next to Lake Kampfe, and going for a hike on the Pine Meadow Trail is always a glorious adventure. This lake is so wonderful. La Quinta Inn and Suites Wayne is a great location to get some rest, and you get a great vista of Torne Mountain from here. You just can't       picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area in the neighborhood of Lake Kampfe has to offer. Near Lake Kampfe you locate the Kakiat Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and needless to say Beaver Brook is a pretty stream that is worth a visit. Camping is available at Camp Ocawasin Lodge. Not far from Lake Kampfe, you'll hit upon Cold Spring Lake which is a wonderful lake, and enjoy a round of golf at Sunset Valley Golf Course. This lake is so                  wonderful. Why not camp at Motor Sports Marina and Campground if you're here at Lake Kampfe; the skiing at Mt. Peter is good. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Sterling Forest is in the vicinity of Lake Kampfe, and whitewater paddling is good on Rockaway River. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pequannock River; there's a forest here called Norvin Green State Forest. Lake Kampfe truly is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise. The Cannonball Trail is a great hiking trail near Lake Kampfe, and great water scenery is available at Star Lake Upper Dam near Lake Kampfe. At Lake Kampfe through the months of summer highs are in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lake Kampfe are in the 10's.
