You simply must like Lake Iosco. Drift down the rapids of Pequannock River in a kayak, and an afternoon playing golf at Sunset Valley Golf Course is always a pleasure. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Iosco a wet place; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least       amount of precipitation. A lake close by is Morse Lakes, and Gateway National Recreation Area is a tremendous local destination. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. While you're here at Lake Iosco you can take a hike along the Pine Meadow Trail, and if you need a location to stay Best Western Regency House Hotel is a wonderful choice. This lake is so wonderful. Post Brook Dam is worth going to while you're here, and hiking along the Cannonball                  Trail is brilliant fun. Stay the night at Motor Sports Marina and Campground, and you can hit the slopes at Mt. Peter nearby. The summit of Federal Hill can be observed from Lake Iosco, and why not a little side spree to Beaver Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Iosco is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Camp Ocawasin Lodge is a great spot to camp nearby, and Sterling Forest has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Lake Iosco temperatures are usually in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Lake Iosco sink into the 10's.
