A pretty lake like Echo Lake in close proximity to Lake Carasaljo is a fine place to explore, and a spree to Gateway National Recreation Area is worthwhile. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Lake Carasaljo; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 20's for Lake Carasaljo. You imagine that's sufficient?       Just getting warmed up. Some of the water close by flows, like Snake Creek; after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Lakewood is a nice spot to spend a night or two. Camping is available at Surf & Stream Campground; tremendous water scenery is available at Lake Carasaljo Dam next to Lake Carasaljo. Lake Carasaljo sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is typically July, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile                  is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Manetta is a great lake close to Lake Carasaljo; enjoy a round of golf at Lakewood Country Club. Camping at Tip Tam Camping Resort is always a great experience, and dry warm beds await you at Ramada Inn Toms River/Lakewood.   Econo Lodge Lakewood, Lakewood Walking distance to shops and restaurants.
