Go to Lake Ames if you want to go to a nice lake. Lake Ames gets lots of water; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture. Why not pop by Lake Ames Dam while you're here, and as expected Burnt Meadow Brook is a lovely stream that is worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Lake Ames. You can run the rapids of Rockaway River near Lake Ames, and everybody close by loves skiing at Mountain Creek.
You'll need more than a day to discover everything
Lake Ames has to offer, you can camp at Sun Air Lakeside Camp, and dry warm beds await you at Howard Johnson. During the warm months at Lake Ames temperatures are commonly in the 80's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in
the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lake Ames. This lake is so wonderful.
