Laidlaws Pond is a wet site that gets lots of rain; most of the rain falls all through August, and the driest month of the year is February. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Paulins Kill River, and if you need a site to stay Courtyard Rockaway-Mt. Arlington is a wonderful choice. Blue Heron Lake Dam is an exciting thing to check       out, and why not a little side trip to Jayness Brook. Lake Lackawanna Golf Course is a glorious golf course close by. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Beaver Hill Campground is always a good experience, and if you're here why not take a look at Sparta Glen. Just can't get enough of Laidlaws Pond. While you're here at Laidlaws Pond, you could also visit gorgeous Lake Saginaw, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend                  India Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Do have a look at Fowlers Pond right next door to Laidlaws Pond, it's a picturesque lake, and don't forget to pop by Henderson Cove while you're here. Laidlaws Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Columbia Valley Campground is a good local campground, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mountain Creek if you're here. Throughout the days of summer at Laidlaws Pond temperatures are regularly in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's.
