If you like lakes and you're in this part of New Jersey you can check out Kitchell Lake. Kitchell Lake gets a lot of water; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. At Kitchell Lake all through the warm months highs are in the 80's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's, and overnight lows at Kitchell Lake through the wintertime regularly plunge into

| | the 10's. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Rockaway River; the Kakiat Trail is a splendid hiking trail nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Kitchell Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sun Air Lakeside Camp is a glorious spot for that; if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Cannonball Trail. golf course nearby, and nearby you'll locate a wooded area called Norvin Green State Forest. Be careful coming to Kitchell Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. There's some out of the ordinary stuff to spot at Kitchell Lake
Dam in the neighborhood of Kitchell Lake, and gorgeous scenery and good skiing is what you get at Hidden Valley.

Motor Lodge is a tremendous choice. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Kitchell Lake has to offer, you can camp at Motor Sports Marina and Campground. There is a great hiking trail near Kitchell Lake called the Pine
Meadow Trail, and unsurprisingly, all our national parks are great spots to pop by and Gateway National Recreation Area is no exception.
What would winter be without some skiing at Mt. Peter; lakes are such serene locations, why
not take a look at Boy Scout Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Stumble Inn, and there are some great whitewater spots on Pequannock River.
