Johns Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Through the warm months here at Johns Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Johns Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. a tremendous adventure; you can stay the night at Sun Air Lakeside Camp. Go for a hike on the Kakiat Trail; glide down the rapids of Pequannock River in a kayak. Macopin Reservoir Dam is an interesting thing to check out; from
Johns Lake you get a glorious panorama of Kanouse Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Johns Lake, you could also go to gorgeous Butler Reservoir; get yourself into a kayak and hit Rockaway River. The slopes of
Hidden Valley are so inviting noone can resist, and enjoy a round of golf at Green Pond Golf Club. There's so much to do here at Johns Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Motor Sports Marina and Campground is a perfect
location for that, and if you need a place to stay Butler Guest House is a great choice. Johns Lake usually gets a great deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest of the months is February.
