The close by grade IV-V, 0.7-mile-in-length Below Falls to Route 287 segment of whitewater on Rockaway River is plenty of fun. Paddlers on this run of Rockaway River should boast quite a little skill in raft paddling. There's a good type I-II run of whitewater nearby on Paulins Kill River, the 17-mile-long Stillwater to Delaware River sector. This run of Paulins Kill River is a magnificent site for beginners in
whitewater boating. Don't go whitewater boating before first checking restrictions; it's perilous business. For all you boaters, Lee's County Park Marina is an excellent marina close by; while you're here at Indian Lake and you want to go for a horse ride, you may check out Some Day Stables.
