If you are traveling by, why not stop by Lake Idlewild. This lake is so wonderful. You'll locate a beautiful lake called Cooper Pond near Lake Idlewild, and the scenery at Lake Tappan Dam is lovely. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Woodtown Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Popolopen Creek. Camping at Beaver Pond is always a brilliant experience, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Valley Brook Golf Club. And that's not all you can do here at Lake Idlewild. Lake Idlewild is good enough to spend more than a day at, Kaufmann Henry Campgrounds is a good local campground; there's whitewater on Ramapo River for all you thrill seekers.
Visiting Gateway National Recreation Area is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and there are plenty of people from New York-Newark-Edison here at Lake Idlewild. That right there is plenty already, but it continues;
Lake Idlewild has it all. Lake Idlewild is right by the Sherwood Path.
Throughout the warm days of summer highs here at Lake Idlewild reach the 80's while night lows are frequently in the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime
are in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Lake Idlewild. This lake is so wonderful. Nauraushaun Brook is a good place to take a look at; after a long day outdoors Hilton Pearl River is a pleasant site to spend a night or two.
