Throughout the summer at Howells Pond temperatures are regularly in the 80's while night lows are regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Howells Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Columbia Valley Campground is a glorious place to camp; if you like       skiing, you're in luck; Mountain Creek is relatively near. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Lake Iliff; the skiing at Hidden Valley is tremendous. If time allows, Delaware National Scenic River is a national park worth visiting, and a golf course nearby is Lake Lackawanna Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are tremendous; Lawrence Lake is a lake that's right next door to Howells Pond, and you can take a                  little trip to Lawrence Dam while you're here at Howells Pond. The Lost Cabin Trail is a perfect hiking trail near Howells Pond, and Panther Lake Camping Resort is a great local campground. All the water falling down from the sky makes Howells Pond a wet place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is commonly the driest month. That right there is a heap already, but it keeps on going; Howells Pond has it all.
