Get yourself into a kayak and hit Paulins Kill River, and skiing at Hidden Valley is one of those things you just have to do. Howells Pond is a rather wet place typically with a lot of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Howells       Pond you can take a hike along the Lost Cabin Trail; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Newton Sparta. Columbia Valley Campground is a tremendous campground nearby; Howells Pond is not the only place close by, Lawrence Lake is a close by lake. Be careful coming to Howells Pond, you might not ever want to return home again. While you're here at Howells Pond you can play some golf at Lake Lackawanna Golf Course; if you come at the                  right time of year, Clove Brook offers some perfect whitewater. Very pretty scenery and delightful skiing is what you get at Mountain Creek, obviously you could also visit Lake Iliff if you're here; it's not far at all. If you need a place to stay Wyndham Garden Hotel - Mt. Olive At International Trade Center is a great choice, and if you have the time, Delaware National Scenic River is a national park worth stopping at. All through the warm days of summer at Howells Pond temperatures are regularly in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Howells Pond are in the 10's.
