Hidden Valley is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood, and the panorama of wonderful Kikeout Mountain is great. For the duration of the warmest time of the year highs here at Hoot Owl Lake reach the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Mountain Creek and strap some skis to your feet, and going for a hike on the Cannonball Trail is always a nice adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Pequannock River is so
much fun, and dry warm beds await you at Roserne Motor Lodge. Hoot Owl Lake is a rather wet place generally with much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August, and February on the other hand is the driest.
Get
dripping wet paddling on Rockaway River, and why not camp at Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club since you're here at Hoot Owl Lake.
