Beautiful Hood Pond has much to offer visitors. A day on the slopes of Hidden Valley is just what you need, and from Hood Pond you acquire a glorious view of Sheep Hill. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Rockaway River Country Club is close at hand, and Gateway National Recreation Area is a tremendous national park. This lake is so wonderful. A nice close by hotel is Parsippany - Days Inn, and Griffith Pond Dam is a gorgeous site.

| | you're here at Hood Pond, you could also visit pretty Kohlers Pond, and a good place to camp here at Hood Pond is Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Hood Pond. The high level of rainfall makes Hood Pond a reasonably wet spot; all through August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.

Pond, and why not camp at Camp Ocawasin Lodge if you're here at Hood Pond. The Cannonball Trail is a brilliant hiking trail close to Hood Pond, and in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater
paddling on Pequannock River. Summertime highs at Hood Pond mostly tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Hood Pond are in
the 10's.
You'll come across a beautiful lake called The Tarn near Hood Pond, and a brilliant location for whitewater paddling is Rockaway River. Any time is a good time at Hood Pond if you go for the outdoors. If you need a place
to stay Embassy Suites Hotel Parsippany is a perfect choice; needless to say Stony Brook is a scenic stream that is worth checking out.
