This lake is so wonderful. Hood Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Ocawasin Lodge is a good local campground, and skiing at Mountain Creek is one of those things you just must do. At Hood Pond during the summertime highs are in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during       the wintertime temperatures at Hood Pond dip into the 10's. The high level of rain makes Hood Pond a pretty wet site; during August this area sees the most rain while February is usually the driest month. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things close to Hood Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Parsippany - Days Inn. Lakes are fine; The Tarn is a lake that's right next door to Hood Pond. This is a splendid region for people who like lakes. Griffith Pond is                  a lake close at hand; Sheep Hill is gorgeous and can be seen from here. You can run the rapids of Rockaway River next to Hood Pond, and Embassy Suites Hotel Parsippany is a delightful spot to get some rest. Stony Brook is a lovely stream that is worth visiting, and the sights at Gateway National Recreation Area will blow your mind. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Hood Pond and you like golf, you can visit Rockaway River Country Club; on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Cannonball Trail. What a site this is for outdoors folks. If you came to camp Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club is a splendid site to do that, and at Griffith Pond Dam close to Hood Pond there are some exciting things to see.
