This lake is so wonderful. Pettet Pond is a fine lake in close proximity to Hines Pond, and Mountain Creek- Appalachian is a fine place to get some rest. Gateway National Recreation Area is one of the destinations right next door to Hines Pond that are glorious to go to. Getting to Morsetown Brook from Hines Pond is painless, and Camp Ocawasin Lodge       is a good campground nearby. At Hines Pond through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's while Hines Pond overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There are other spots here than Hines Pond, for example Reflection Lake, and you can run the rapids of Pequannock River. You don’t have                  to go far from Hines Pond to spot the water at Pinecliff Lake Dam; a splendid spot for whitewater paddling is Rockaway River. This site is so good, just explore all the cool stuff to do near Hines Pond. You might want to pay a visit to Clinton Brook Valley while you're here at Hines Pond, and at Hines Pond you can make out Bearfort Mountain. Hines Pond generally gets a good deal of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily July, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. If you need a location to stay Mountain Creek- Black Creek Sanctuary is a great choice, and Mt. Peter has good slopes and a friendly staff. So much amusing stuff to do at Hines Pond, so little time. Going for a hike along the Pine Meadow Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and you can hit the slopes at Hidden Valley close by.
