Many people like to go to Hinchman Pond. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Sterling Forest is perfect, and a lake close by is Barbour Pond. A pleasant site to camp here at Hinchman Pond is Motor Sports Marina and Campground; an out of the ordinary thing to go to next to Hinchman Pond is Barbour Mill Dam. Mt. Peter is a fine local ski area, and if you need a location to stay Residence Inn by Marriott Wayne is a delightful choice.

| | at Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Hinchman Pond; Kakiat Trail is a splendid local trail. Hinchman Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through May this area sees the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Good hiking is available along the Cannonball Trail, and in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Ramapo River. That right
there is lots already, but it continues; Hinchman Pond has it all. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Pine Meadow Trail; a golf course close by is Packanack Golf Club. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a
good time. The summit of Mount Cecchino can be made out from Hinchman Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant close by hotel is Wellesley Inn Wayne; a perfect location for whitewater paddling is Pequannock River. Gateway
National Recreation Area is a good location next to Hinchman Pond, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Franklin Swamp is right nearby.
