Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Highland Lake. There's so much to do here at Highland Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Tall Timbers Campground is a wonderful spot for that; Upper Highland Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. Go for a hike on the Cannonball Trail; you can run the rapids of Clove Brook. Get your       heart beating on the splendid whitewater of Pequannock River; the peak of Wawayanda Mountain can be made out from Highland Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Camp Nyoda is a great place to do that, and if you're here, you could also stop by beautiful Lake Wanda. Delaware National Scenic River is one of the destinations near Highland Lake that are perfect to go to. If you need a place to stay Mountain Creek- Black Creek Sanctuary is a magnificent                  choice, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Spa Executive Nine Golf Course is around here. Hit the slopes at Mountain Creek in close proximity, and Mineral Resorts And Spa is a nice place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Hidden Valley has great slopes and a friendly staff, and Highland Lake Dam is scenic. Highland Lake gets a good deal of water; during the month of May you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. High temperatures at Highland Lake during the summertime months are in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's.
