Why not stop by Highland Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Ramapo River, and while you're here, you could also check out gorgeous Barbour Pond. A journey to Gateway National Recreation Area is recommended, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Pequannock River. Put some time aside to spend at Passaic Falls while you're here at Highland Lake; going for a hike on the Kakiat Trail is

There is a magnificent hiking trail in close proximity to Highland Lake called the Cannonball Trail, and why not head up to Sterling Forest and strap some skis to your feet. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area close to Highland Lake has to offer. Highland Lake is not far at all from New York-Newark-Edison. Throughout the summertime at Highland Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; after the sun
is down through the winter temperatures at Highland Lake sink into the 10's. The high level of rain makes Highland Lake a rather wet site; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest
month. Don't forget to take a fine little spree to Molly Ann Brook. There's so much to do here at Highland Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club is a nice spot for that.

is in the middle of a picturesque outdoors paradise. Stay the night at Liberty Harbor RV Park, and if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Totowa/Clifton, Nj is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. There are fine places to look at along the Pine Meadow Trail; do stop by Highland Lake Dam while you're here.
