Camp Ocawasin Lodge is a tremendous local campground, and do take a hike on the Cannonball Trail. Do stop by High Crest Lake Dam while you're here at High Crest Lake, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Pine Meadow Trail. This is
a wonderful area for people who like lakes. Butler Reservoir is a lake around here; Gateway National Recreation Area is a good national park. Motor Sports Marina and Campground is a good campground nearby; perhaps you're looking for
close by lakes? Sure, Bear Swamp Lake is just a very short distance away.

at High Crest Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are regularly in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to High Crest Lake.
