Don't miss out on a trip to Gateway National Recreation Area if you're here at Hendricks Pond, and close by you hit upon the Cannonball Trail which is a great hiking trail. High temperatures at Hendricks Pond all through the summer months are in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while Hendricks Pond night       low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. An afternoon playing golf at Weequahic Park Golf Course is always a bliss, and dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn & Suites Newark-Harrison-Riverwalk, NJ. Camp Horizons is a pleasant campground nearby, and not far from Hendricks Pond you'll stumble on Kingsland Lake which is a striking lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hendricks Pond gets much water; through May this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Skiing at Sterling Forest is one of those things you just ought to do.
